For those of you who haven't seen the show on Oprah about getting the right bra, you are definately missing out!! I have always just gone to Wal-Mart and bought the cheapest bra I could find. When I was younger, perkier and thinner this didn't matter too much, but since I've gone through puberty in the last few years (nevermind getting older and chubbier), this doesn't work anymore!
I finally gave in and decided to spend the money and get a good bra. I went to Dillards and they have "professional" bra fitters (they have official red coats and everything). So, I get fitted for my bra, determined to spend whatever it takes to get the girls up where they are supposed to be, and I almost passed out when the cute little bra fitter told me what size I needed. No wonder I had boob issues. I was nowhere near the right bra size. I'm not going to reveal that size here, but let's just say that it's much larger than I thought, which for most women would be good news, but I don't like having big boobs. They just make me feel fat!
Anyway, I've been a new woman since getting my new bra. It wasn't even that expensive; only $36.00. I feel so much better though, and I think I look like I've lost a little weight since my boobs are no longer laying down on my waist. Kim, Leah , my mom and one niece (I won't divulge her name 'cuz she's a teenage girl and it might embarrass her) have also gone and gotten fitted and they too swear by it. Their experience was much the same in that they were bigger than they thought they were in the cup size. The lady at Dillards said most women make the mistake of buying their bra larger around and too small in the cup. Soooooo, I thought I would share this experience with all the women out there who have boob and bra issues. Oprah is right! We deserve to have the best bra for us, even if it does cost a little more than $9.99 at Wal-Mart! : )
